Friday photo: Wellington

Looking down over Wellington, New Zealand. The tracks in the foreground belong to a cable car that offers wonderful views of the city. Despite the drizzly weather (which made me feel quite at home) the temperature was pleasantly warm for a late spring day.

    1. I agree, there are a lot of similarities, but the biggest difference for me was the weather. If Scotland’s temperatures were like those in New Zealand’s north island I might never want to go anywhere else. Another thing that made a big impression on me was the laid-back feeling of the country. That may have had something to do with the fact that I was on holiday, but Kiwis seem to have a different attitude to work/life balance.

    1. It was serene Darlene, and very beautiful. I visited in 2004, so quite a long time ago. I spent 3 months there and I’d like to go back one day, but the journey is horrendously long from the UK.
