Friday photo: autumn woods

I took this picture a few days ago in Darroch Wood, on the outskirts of Blairgowrie. In springtime it’s a riot of bluebells under fresh green oaks. At this time of year, as the leaves are turning, bracken and ferns crowd the forest floor.

  1. Well, it is quite a difference. I like it, though. Looks like fall. Leaves are beginning to turn here in north GA. Fall is late here this year. We got lots of rain from Hurricane Irma and that seems to have affected things a bit.

    1. I’m not surprised Hurricane Irma affected things where you are, it was ferocious. It seems to me autumn is late here too, but I’m not complaining about that; the longer we have leaves on the trees the better, in my opinion.
